Isner celebrates 31st birthday

Twitter was filled with many birthday wishes and memories.

John Isner, America’s highest-ranked male player, celebrated his 31st birthday on Tuesday. Some of his fans spent the day reminiscing about Isner’s most famous match. Understandably so.

It's not easy to forget the longest match in tennis history:

At Wimbledon in 2010, Isner smashed 112 aces to beat Nicolas Mahut, 6–4, 3–6, 6–7 (7–9), 7–6 (7–3), 70–68. They played 183 games in 11 hours and 5 minutes over three days.

Here are a few of his other shout-outs:

Speaking of Rio, the world No. 16 recently announced that he will not be participating in the Olympics this year, choosing instead to focus on ATP events.
