PERTH, Australia (AP) The Hopman Cup final will go down to a mixed doubles match between the United States and Belgium after American John Isner evened the championship at 1-1 with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Ruben Bemelmans.
Earlier Saturday, Justine Henin won the final five games of her match to beat American Bethanie Mattek-Sands 7-6 (6), 6-3 and give Belgium an early 1-0 lead. Henin also saved two set points in the first set after the players had exchanged eight straight service breaks.
Belgium advanced as a surprise finalist from Group A when first-place finisher Serbia could not contest the final due to an abdominal injury to Ana Ivanovic.
