John Isner and Sam Querrey have continued their Roman run in doubles, defeating Roger Federer and Yves Allegro to reach the semifinals. Federer, who had turned his attention to the doubles after being upset in his opening singles match at Rome, is scheduled to play in Estoril next week.

Isner and Querrey have scored a series of impressive wins this week, opening with a victory over the strong singles combo of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Stanislas Wawrinka, and then taking down the top doubles team of Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi.

A semifinal win over Pablo Cuevas and Juan Monaco could set up an all-American final against the Bryan brothers. The Bryans will take on the 7th-seeded team of Lukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach in their semifinal.
