Janko Tipsarevic will not be on Serbia's Davis Cup team for its quarterfinal tie against Spain this weekend because of injury.

“Due to a tear on the hamstring of my right leg,” the 32-year-old wrote, “I won’t be able to help my team in the following match against Spain.”

He added that Serbia still has a “great team which is aiming high” in the competition.

The former Top 10 player is currently ranked No. 94, and has been on and off the tour in recent years because of injuries.

No. 2 Novak Djokovic and No. 39 Viktor Troicki are scheduled to play singles for Serbia.
