Jannik Sinner’s winning streak at Masters 1000 events is up to 24 matches in a row after a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Danish qualifier Elmer Moller in the third round of the Mutua Madrid Open on Sunday.

And with that, the Italian joins a very exclusive group.

He's just the third man ever to win 24 or more straight matches at Masters 1000 events, since this level of tournament began in 1990.

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are the only other two men to go on this long of a run, with Federer doing it once and Djokovic twice.

Sinner’s run has brought him four straight Masters 1000 titles, at Paris last year and Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo so far this year.

LONGEST MASTERS 1000 WINNING STREAKS (since 1990):

  • 31: Djokovic [2011 Indian Wells to 2011 Cincinnati]
  • 30: Djokovic [2014 Paris to 2015 Canada]
  • 29: Federer [2005 Hamburg to 2006 Monte Carlo]
  • 24: Sinner [2025 Paris to present]
  • 23: Nadal [2013 Madrid to 2013 Shanghai]
  • 23: Djokovic [2013 Shanghai to 2014 Monte Carlo]

Even scarier? Not only has Sinner now won 24 matches in a row at Masters 1000 events, but he’s won 48 of 50 sets during this run, with two players able to sneak out sets against him, both in tie-breaks—he defeated Czech Tomas Machac in the third round of Monte Carlo a few weeks ago, 6-1, 6-7 (3), 6-3, and Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi in his opening round of Madrid a few days ago, 6-7 (6), 6-1, 6-4.

Sinner got broken once against Moller on Sunday, when he was already up a double break at 5-1 in the first set, but he broke again right away in the next game to clinch the opening frame, then—after five consecutive holds to start the second set—he broke one last time for a 4-2 lead and served the match out a few games later.

In the end it was a much less complicated day at the office than his aforementioned three-set opening victory against Bonzi.

“Yeah, slightly better, obviously a different opponent,” he said. “I tried to stay calm and serve well in important moments, and I think that was the key. There was not a lot of rhythm so I tried to stay quite compact, and let’s see what’s coming in the next round.”

Awaiting the No. 1-seeded Sinner in the fourth round will be either No. 19-seeded Cam Norrie or unseeded Argentine Thiago Agustin Tirante, who played their third-round match later on in the day.

Tirante took out No. 15-seeded Tommy Paul in the second round.
