After leading Great Britain out of the Euro-Africa Zone 1 playoffs with a win over Austria, new Fed Cup captain Judy Murray is hoping to get a home tie for the first time in 19 years. The appointment of Murray, the mother of ATP No. 4 Andy Murray, brought much more attention to the team, which includes veterans Anne Keothavong, Elena Baltacha, and teenagers Heather Watson and Laura Robson. The draw for the World Group II playoffs takes place on February 14, with the ties to be played April 21-22.

"I didn't mean to [bring more attention to the team] but there was a lot of interest, that's for sure, which I suppose is good for the event and good for our team,” Judy Murray told BBC. "Women's tennis compared to the men's tends to get much less recognition and attention. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I might be because we prepared really well and also to be able to sit with the girls at the changeover helped. The tactical side of tennis has always been the thing that has interested me and I think I probably got better at doing the chats on the bench as the week went on."
