Siniakova returned to No. 1 two weeks ago after winning the WTA 500 title in Seoul with Barbora Krejcikova. It was her third title of the year, having also won the Australian Open and Dubai with Taylor Townsend.

She now has 31 career WTA doubles titles, and that triumph at the Australian Open was the 10th Grand Slam women’s doubles title of her career, which includes seven with Krejcikova, two with Townsend and one with Coco Gauff (at Roland Garros last year).

She also won her first Grand Slam mixed doubles title at Wimbledon this year, with Sem Verbeek, and she has two Olympic gold medals to her name as well, one in women’s doubles (with Krejcikova in Tokyo) and one in mixed doubles (with Tomas Machac in Paris).

The Czech will play with Australia’s Storm Hunter in Wuhan this week.
