Kuznetsova holds off nerves for San Diego victory

Svetlana Kuznetsova has won her first title this season, defeating Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4, 6-7(7), 6-3 in the San Diego final.

Kuznetsova had four match points in the second-set tiebreak but succumbed to nerves when trying to close out the match. "To play that bad at end of the second set and then to let her come back and see me choke, I had to be twice as strong in the third set and I was," said Kuznetsova.
