After defeating former No. 1 Venus Williams in the semifinals of Tokyo in a third-set tiebreaker, Petra Kvitova said that the 33-year-old American can contend for Grand Slam titles if she stays healthy and plays consistently.

Venus Williams has not won a Grand Slam title since the 2008 Wimbledon.

"She missed some tournaments this year and it's important to stay healthy and play a lot,” Kvitova told reporters. “If she keeps this up, she can be one of the players who can win Grand Slams."
