Kyrgios is still playing under a probationary suspension from the ATP tour, which he got following his comments to Stanislas Wawrinka during their match in Montreal.

Kyrgios must avoid incurring fines of more than $5,000 for another three weeks to dodge the suspension. He has already racked up at least $1,500 in fines following an outburst in Shanghai this past October.

Any penalties at International Tennis Federation events and Grand Slams do not count towards the total, including the $2,500 he was fined at the Australian Open.

Kyrgios was unwilling to commit to his schedule following the Australian Open.

"Who knows," he said at the tournament.

The Australian is No. 41 in the ATP rankings.
