Lisicki advances at Family Circle Cup

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Sabine Lisicki advanced at the Family Circle Cup, defeating Renata Voracova 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 Tuesday in her return after winning her first tour title in Charleston two years ago.

Lisicki did not play in Charleston last year and missed several months from the tour with an ankle injury. The 182nd-ranked German is a wild card in this week's tournament.

Edina Gallovits-Hall eliminated American Jamie Hampton 7-6, 7-5.

Play was delayed several hours Tuesday as a line of thunderstorms moved through.
