EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) Stan Drobac, who spent over three decades as the coach of Michigan State's men's tennis team and became a member of the Intercollegiate Tennis Hall of Fame, has died. He was 88.

Drobac died Sunday in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. The school did not provide a cause of death.

Drobac was Michigan State's coach from 1958-89. The Spartans won the Big Ten in 1967 and finished second in 1961, 1966 and 1968.

Drobac was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1990.

As a player for the Spartans, Drobac won the Big Ten singles title in 1953. He also teamed up with Tom Belton to win the Big Ten doubles title in 1952 and 1953.
