Roger Federer did wind up winning a title this season, even if it wasn't on the court.

In an online vote, the 17-time Grand Slam champion was named *GQ*'s Most Stylish Man of the year, defeating a field consisting largely of musicians and actors. Federer was pitted against Tom Hiddleston in the final, having also defeated the likes of Jared Leto, Kanye West and Ryan Gosling in earlier rounds.

Though Federer has often drawn attention with his clothing, the accolade comes during a period in which he has been far less visible, playing just seven events this season because of ongoing injuries and dropping to No. 16 in the world. But GQ attributed his triumph to a "very passionate fan base" and his "classic" look.

Federer recently launched his own line of off-court clothing, featuring casual menswear.
