Feliciano Lopez and former girlfriend Maria Jose Suarez are expecting a child, Suarez has confirmed in an interview with HOLA magazine.
The couple, who broke up before they learned of the pregnancy, previously split and reunited during their five-year relationship. However, Suarez is adamant that the pairing is now over for good.
"Feliciano and I have broken up and there is no turning back," said the TV presenter and former Miss Spain. "You don't fall out of love in a short period but I'm realistic...
"My big mistake in this is that it should have ended three years ago. I fought for the relationship and leave with a clear conscience," she added. "I know it's hard to face being a single mother, but I wouldn't want my future child to go through a separation or live in a hostile atmosphere."
However, Portuguese newspaper Lux reports the two broke up because Suarez has allegedly become involved with soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.—K.T.
