Gael Monfils has pulled out of Hamburg because of an ankle injury he suffered in the Stuttgart final on Sunday.
Monfils received treatment in an attempt to play this week but could not recover in time.
"[M]y ankle is still painful so I'm not gonna play," he said via Twitter.
