Wimbledon runner-up Garbine Muguruza is now working with Sam Sumyk, having split with her previous coach just before the U.S. Open.

The world No. 9, who has won just one match since Wimbledon, has been training with Sumyk in Barcelona. “I've been working very hard with Sam these days and will trial [the partnership] at Tokyo,” she said.

Sumyk split with Eugenie Bouchard just before the hard-court season; the two had only been working together since the Australian Open. He was previously the coach of Victoria Azarenka, who won two Slams with him.

Meanwhile, Julia Goerges has stopped working with Sascha Nensel. The two had worked together for seven years.

“It was a great time, Now we both agree, we follow a new path,” Goerges said on her website.

The German has not announced a new coach.
