"Nadal will announce today that he will be in South Africa next Sunday supporting the Spanish team," said RafaelNadal.com. "Rafa watched the [semifinal] match [against Germany] at home with his family, and, once the match finished, he went out to celebrate the triumph with the rest of the people."

After winning Wimbledon last week, Nadal has been in Spain relaxing at home and underwent treatment on his right knee earlier this week. He pulled out of Spain's Davis Cup quarterfinal against France this weekend to undergo the procedure on his knee.

A Spanish victory would give the country its first ever World Cup and, together with Nadal's Wimbledon victory, its second soccer-tennis double in the past two years. In 2008, Nadal won Wimbledon and Spain won the Euro championships the same week.
