Top seed Rafael Nadal has been knocked out of Queen's by compatriot Felicinao Lopez, who won their quarterfinal match 7-6 (5), 6-4. Nadal double faulted to give Lopez the deciding break in the second set.
It is the latest in an exodus that has seen all five of the top seeds exit the tournament within the last 30 hours, with No. 2 Andy Murray going down this morning and No. 3 Novak Djokovic, No. 4 Andy Roddick and No. 5 Marin Cilic all losing yesterday.
No. 6 Gael Monfils lost earlier in the week, so No. 7 Sam Querrey is now the highest seed left, followed by No. 8 Lopez.
