Departing for Monte Carlo on Friday to begin his European clay campaign, Rafael Nadal told Spanish press he is aiming to have "a good season [on clay], play good tennis" rather than overtake Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer in the rankings.
"Since Paris, I don't have good results so I have a little bit of room, but before that I have titles in Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome and the Madrid final, and that's 3,500 points in a month and a half," said Nadal.—K.T.
