David Nalbandian has denied a taxi driver's accusations that Nalbandian tore his shirt and scratched him when the driver dropped off passengers at the tennis player's Argentine home on Monday night.
The driver said he was instructed by his two passengers to go into Nalbandian's driveway, and was being told by staff to leave when Nalbandian came up and grabbed him. According to his account, after the driver called the police, Nalbandian offered him three shirts. "But I told him I was going to report him," said the driver.
Nalbandian said he did not assault the driver and may make a trespassing complaint. "I never touched him," said Nalbandian. "If there is physical aggression, it shows. Absolutely nothing happened."
Argentine papers said police confirmed an incident had taken place, but that the driver has so far not pressed charges.
