SEOUL, South Korea (AP)—Already a two-time winner this year, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova reached the Korea Open quarterfinals by beating wild card Lee Ye-ra of 6-4, 6-1 on Wednesday.

Pavlyuchenkova, who won her fourth and fifth career titles in April in Monterrey and Estoril, will face Irina-Camelia Begu, who defeated sixth-seeded Julia Goerges 6-4, 6-0.

Eighth-seeded Annika Beck also lost, to Vera Dushevina 6-3, 7-5.

Advancing were Lara Arruabarrena, into her first quarterfinals since February, and Francesca Schiavone, who last made the last eight on Birmingham grass in June.
