TASHKENT, Uzbekistan(AP) Shahar Peer of Israel has won her second straight WTA Tour title, beating local favorite Akgul Amanmuradova of Uzbekistan 6-3, 6-4 in the Tashkent Open final.

The second-seeded Peer earned her fifth career title on Sunday. She won the Guangzhou Open in China last Sunday.

The 46th-ranked Peer broke Amanmuradova two times in the first set.

After trading breaks twice in the second and Peer was serving for the match at 5-3. But Amanmuradova saved three match points and broke back to 5-4. However, the 2005 Tashkent runner-up failed to hold her serve in the next game and Peer wrapped up the victory.
