Bob and Mike had three match points in the Match Tie-break to take the contest, only to see each squashed by the Pakistani-Dutch pair. Then Qureshi and Rojer wasted a match point of their own with a wide shot, before the Bryans rattled off three straight points to win the tense denouement, .

As with the men's singles play at this #FinalShowdown, the doubles draw is round-robin in nature. (Here are the latest standings.) Needless to say, the Bryans pulled a Houdini-esque escape act to avoid the extinguishing of their title hopes.
