Photos: Mike Bryan marries in California

Oh, for the days when Mike Bryan and his brother Bob shared a house, a room, or even a bed. One half of the best doubles tandem ever, that being Mike this time, tied the marital knot with his bride, Lucille Williams, a Brit, this past weekend in California. Via Instagram, here are a few photos of the proceedings, one from Mike himself and a couple documented by twin-in-crime Bob.

DOUBLES FOR LIFE The newly wedding couple was all radiant smiles on the Pacific coast (at right), with the blonde bride a sight to behold in her exquisite gown.

MAROON 1 + 1  Mike himself and James Valentine from rock band Maroon 5 (fresh off of a Saturday Night Live stint) played songs on guitar for guests a half-hour before the ceremony began. Both look dapper.

DOUBLES TROUBLE  It's doubtful, really, that Mike got into much funny business, which appeared a rather tame affair on the beach as well. No sign, at least none via Twitter, that the likes of Andy Roddick, James Blake, John Isner, Sam Querrey, or other American tennis stalwarts were in attendance, as they were for Blake's nuptials two weeks earlier. Small matter, though—Mike Bryan had a rock-music celeb on hand.

[UPDATE: Now confirmed, American ATP stars and personalities in attendance at Mike Bryan's wedding included Mardy Fish, Justin Gimelstob, Torrey Gambill (brother to Jan-Michael Gambill, persumably also present), and Ali Ansari, who played with the Bryans on Stanford's 1998 NCAA title clinching team.]

GIVING BACK Mike stopped by his alma mater, Stanford University, and visited with legendary tennis coach Dick Gould, his leader when he played there. As Gould's own credentials go, try these on—38 years in coaching, 17 NCAA men's tennis championships, with 50 All-Americans and a couple Coach of the Decade citations.

FROM THE VAULT Or from June 2012, anyway—see this video and relive the interesting fact that Mike Bryan's new wife was once a car driver for players at Wimbledon. That's right, folks. You, too, may meet your mate in the transportation department. Never give up hope.
