It was a very busy week for the Race to the ATP Finals in Paris last week, with Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton and Alex de Minaur becoming the fifth, sixth and seventh players to qualify for this year's ATP Finals.

They joined Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev in an absolutely star-studded eight-player field in Turin.

Just one spot remains now, and it's coming down to the last week—and potentially the last day—of the regular ATP season.

It's also coming down to just two players.

How have the Race to the ATP Finals standings changed this week?

There are a few shifts within the Top 8 after Paris—Zverev and Djokovic switching spots, Shelton and Fritz switching spots—but the most notable move today comes at the border of the elite, as Felix Auger-Aliassime rises from No. 9 to No. 8 in the race standings after reaching the final in the French capital, bumping Lorenzo Musetti from No. 8 to No. 9.

That battle will continue into this week, as Auger-Aliassime and Musetti are the only two players in contention for the final spot in Turin.

And the scenario is simple: Musetti needs to win the title in Athens this week to pass Auger-Aliassime's points and return to No. 8 in the race standings, and thus qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin.

And that feat could be even tougher given he might have to defeat Djokovic in the final in the Greek capital, if they both make the final.

That scenario would have been more complicated as Auger-Aliassime was entered in Metz this week, but he withdrew with a left knee injury.

Who will be the alternates?

The alternates for this year's ATP Finals are almost locked in, too.

Alexander Bublik is now confirmed as the second alternate in Turin this year—he's No. 11 in the race standings, but No. 10 Jack Draper ended his season after the US Open due to an arm injury, and nobody else can pass Bublik this week. Bublik also can't pass anyone but Draper.

The Kazakh makes the biggest jump within the Top 15 in the race standings this week, rising from No. 15 to No. 11 after reaching the first Masters 1000 semifinal of his career in Paris, where he beat two Turin qualifiers—Fritz and De Minaur—before falling to Auger-Aliassime.

The first alternate will be whichever one of Auger-Aliassime and Musetti doesn't end up becoming the eighth and final qualifier in Turin.
