Milos Raonic has led Canada to a 4-1 Davis Cup victory over Mexico on clay. Raonic scored three wins in the tie.
Canada will travel to Ecuador for second-round Group 1 zonal match in July. "I know I have a lot of work to do on the clay,” Raonic said, “I have to put in hours. I’m going to do a full clay court season, I want to prove a lot on it. I don’t know too much of what to expect, I didn’t play at all last year on clay. So I look forward to that challenge."
Other winners in Davis Cup Zonal Group 1 ties were Israel, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Portugal, China P.R., Japan, Canada and Uruguay.—Matthew Cronin
