Nicolas Kiefer returns to ATP action this week in Munich after undergoing a groin operation last season.

Despite being almost 10 years away from his career high of No. 4 and experiencing signficant injuries every season since 2006, Kiefer is not planning to retire soon. "The love of tennis is just too big," he said, adding that he would like to play until the London Olympics. "That would be a perfect career culmination."

The 32-year-old German and his girlfriend, Anna, are expecting their first child this summer. "There's nothing better," said Kiefer. "The baby is a new motivation... I absolutely want my child to see me play."

Following Roger Federer's example, the family will travel together on the tour, with Kiefer planning to "get tips from Roger on how to manage it."
