STRASBOURG, France(AP) Aravane Rezai of France defeated Viktoriya Kutuzova of Ukraine 6-4, 6-2 Friday in the semifinals of the Strasbourg International.

Rezai will play Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic in the final Saturday. Hradecka advanced when Ayumi Morita of Japan retired while trailing 6-0, 1-0 after injuring her left thigh in the first set.

They will be aiming for their first singles title on the WTA Tour.

No French player has won this tournament,'' said Rezai, ranked 79th.I really hope to be the first one to do it.''
