Roger Federer Has a Cow

Still the greatest men's tennis player ever, Roger Federer announced his intent to jump-start the 2014 season (and the last leg of his career?) in Brisbane, Australia, as preparation for the coming year's first Grand Slam event, the Australian Open. Federer raised eyebrows, as did Serena Williams, by playing a smaller clay-court tournament in the wake of an early Wimbledon exit this summer. He raised even more of a racket by wielding just that, a new racquet, and sporting a sweater vest at the event in which he played in Hamburg, Germany. There he lost in two tight tiebreakers in the semifinals to unheralded qualifier Federico Delbonis.

Beyond the talk of the sweater vest (not foreign to Fed), the new racquet (Sampras did the same after retiring), and the 2014 schedule announcement, Roger also now owns—wait for it—a new cow. He assumed control of her upon winning the Gstaad tournament, and like a new royal baby, she has a name: Desirée. What's more, she boastsher own Twitter account, with more than 1,500 followers already.
