Roger Federer has reiterated that he has recovered from the hand injury he had experienced during the grass-court season, and says he is not having any back problems.

Before playing his hometown event at Basel this week, the 20-time Grand Slam champion recently revealed that he had injured his hand at the beginning of the grass-court season, affecting him for around three months.

"Maybe there is a little bit left, but I don't feel anything," he was quoted as telling press in French at Basel. "I'm happy with the way it's behaving now.

"It's not an issue in practice anymore, which has become easier. I can now concentrate again on tactics and ways of winning."

His erratic serving during the first two rounds of Basel also prompted questions about his occasionally troublesome back.

"No, my back is good," said Federer, who has produced several double faults. "Already in Shanghai, [serving] was not good. And I haven't identified the problem.”
