MOSCOW(AP) Nikolay Davydenko has rallied to beat Eduardo Schwank 4-6, 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in the first reverse singles, drawing Russia even with Argentina at 2-2 in their Davis Cup quarterfinal.

Argentina was leading 2-1 behind a doubles win Saturday after the teams had split the opening singles Friday.

Mikhail Youzhny was scheduled to take on David Nalbandian in the decisive fifth rubber.

Schwank replaced Leonardo Mayer.

Two-time Davis Cup champion Russia has not lost at home in 17 ties since 1996. Argentina reached the final three times but is yet to win.

The winner of the match will face France in a semifinal on Sept. 17-19.
