MOSCOW (AP)—Dinara Safina says she hasn’t made a final decision on her tennis future, contradicting her brother Marat Safin’s announcement that she had retired.

The former top-ranked player tells her followers on Twitter that she hasn’t made “any official announcement,” and asks, “Give my please some time and I’ll let u all know.”

Safin said earlier Friday that his younger sister had decided to quit the sport at 25 years old because of chronic back pain.

Safina began an indefinite break from tennis in May after two years of back problems.
