LINZ, Austria (AP) Patty Schnyder saved two match points before edging sixth-seeded Andrea Petkovic 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 in the semifinals of the Generali Ladies on Saturday.
Schnyder will play either seventh-seeded Ana Ivanovic or Roberta Vinci in Sunday's final.
The 47th-ranked Swiss was down 15-40 while serving at 4-5 in the deciding set, but won that game and broke Petkovic afterward. Schnyder converted her second match point when the German hit a backhand long.
Schnyder, who holds 11 career WTA Tour titles, has reached her third final in Linz. She lost in 2005 and 2007.
