Patty Schnyder's 14 consecutive appearances in the Family Circle Cup have made her a fan favorite at the event. In fact, after the Swiss player's loss to Caroline Wozniacki on Thursday, tournament officials decided to put on a Friday night doubles exhibition featuring Schnyder and Shelby Rogers against Ekaterina Makarova and Marie-Eve Pelletier.
The 31-year-old Schnyder, who reached a career high No. 7 ranking in 2005, hinted earlier in the week that this may be her last appearance in Charleston.
