Even though she still has to play the final of Madrid against No. 1 Victoria Azarenka, Serena Williams says she's already achieved her goal at the tournament. With her 7-6 (5), 6-0 victory over Lucie Hradecka, Serena will rise to No. 6 in the rankings.

"I'm feeling good in the tournament, I played very consistently, amazing, and my game is almost perfect. Well I've reached my goal. I didn't think I would reach it that fast," Serena told reporters.  "I'm obviously excited about that because I've been working really hard, but I don't want to stop at No. 6. I want to continue doing better and better."

Williams leads her head to head with Azarenka 6-1. The only time she lost to the Belarusian was in the 2009 Miami final, when she was injured. Serena beat Azarenka at the 2011 U.S. Open.

"I'm going in with nothing to lose and I feel like she is higher in the rankings and has more to lose," Serena said. "She is so consistent, so amazing and just so nearly perfect. I am going into the final with nothing to lose. She's the top-ranked player and she's going in there with everything to win."
