In news that is the opposite of shocking, Serena Williams will soon hold court as a juror in the Tribeca Snapchat Shorts competition. Alongside her will be one of her pals, Eva Longoria, and the likes of Bravo kingpin Andy Cohen, actor Jason Biggs and DJ Dillon Francis. More jury members are to be added soon, this after 2016's first annual competition of its kind featured Jessica Alba, DJ Khaled, Steve Buscemi and more among its jurors.

Submissions can be entered online through February 17, 2017, after which the Tribeca Film Festival will take place between April 19 and April 30. Ten finalists' short films will be shown during the fest, and submissions this time out must be two minutes in length, down from the three-minute-and-20-second limit last year. The recent addition of Snapchat's Memories functionality may complicate matters for filmmakers—or may improve it, depending on who you are.

Serena's own snaps are legendary, with many users who relish tennis taking to that platform purely because of her presence. I mean, come now: The woman has her own Gatorade-fueled Snapchat game.
