Simona Halep will be returning to competition at the inaugural grasscourt event at Bad Homburg.

The wolrd No. 3 has not played since experiencing a leg muscle tear during the second round of Rome, where she limped off the court and had to withdraw from the French Open.

But in a video she shared, Halep announced she was "excited" about her participation in the WTA 250 event, saying she was "looking forward to see[ing] all the people in the stands."
