Tim Smyczek has won the Dallas Challenger tournament, retaining his momentum from a five-set loss to Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open.

Smyczek defeated Rajeev Ram, 6-2, 4-1, ret., and now has four challenger titles. He is also up to No. 80 in the world rankings, having begun the year below the Top 100.

The 27-year-old took Nadal to five sets in the second round of the Australian Open, and earned notice for his sportsmanship in giving Nadal a let when a fan's call affected play late in the fifth set.
