Alex de Minaur is having the best year of his career, including winning his biggest title at the ATP 500 in Acapulco, reaching his first Masters 1000 final in Canada, setting a new career-high ranking of No. 11, and—two weeks ago—reaching his 10th ATP quarterfinal of the year in Tokyo, making him the first Australian to reach double-digit ATP quarterfinals in a single year since Lleyton Hewitt in 2004.

And in Paris today, he kept the milestones coming.

De Minaur’s two-hour, 10-minute, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic in the second round of the Masters 1000 event on Wednesday was the 200th tour-level win of his career.

The 24-year-old Australian is the first man born in 1999 or later to reach 200 career wins, and the 10th man born in 1995 or later to do it.

MEN BORN IN 1995 OR LATER WITH 200+ CAREER WINS (tour-level):
391: Alexander Zverev [playing later today]
331: Daniil Medvedev
298: Stefanos Tsitsipas
290: Andrey Rublev
241: Karen Khachanov
231: Taylor Fritz
210: Borna Coric
207: Casper Ruud [playing later today]
205: Nick Kyrgios
200: Alex de Minaur

De Minaur is currently ranked No. 13 in the world.

De Minaur’s milestone win over Lajovic came two days after a marathon win over Andy Murray—he had battled back from 5-2 down in the third set to defeat the Brit in the first round on Monday, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-5, even saving a match point along the way.

The Australian is now 6-0 in his career against the former No. 1.

Things won’t get any easier for De Minaur moving forward, as he could next face a red-hot Jannik Sinner, who’s won all five of the pair’s previous meetings, and their last nine sets in a row.

Sinner faces American Mackenzie McDonald later today.
