Carlos Alcaraz continued to show why he’s one of the most promising rising stars in the sport on Tuesday night, battling back from a 5-2 first set deficit to take out Stefanos Tsitsipas, 7-5, 6-3, in their highly-anticipated fourth-round clash in Miami.

The 18-year-old Spaniard has now won five of his last eight matches against Top 10 players, a stretch that dates back to last year’s US Open.

By recording his fifth career Top 10 win tonight, the 18-year-old Alcaraz is just 12 days older than Nadal was when he recorded his fifth career Top 10 win:

~ Nadal: 18 years, 10 months & 12 days (d. Gaudio in 2005 Monte Carlo QFs)
~ Alcaraz: 18 years, 10 months & 24 days (d. Tsitsipas in 2022 Miami 4th Rd)

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic both achieved the feat at age 19 (Federer was 19 years and 5 months when he beat Kafelnikov in the 2001 Milan semifinals, while Djokovic was 19 years and 10 months when he beat Nadal in the 2007 Miami quarterfinals).
