Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz dominated Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 clay-court event in Hamburg today, 6-0, 6-2, blasting 21 winners to just 7 unforced errors to cruise past the former No. 8 in just 68 minutes.

“Today was probably one of my best matches this year,” Alcaraz said afterwards.

“All I can say is I hope I can keep this level in the next round.”

Not only has the 19-year-old now won 36 of his last 40 matches, a stretch that dates back to winning another ATP 500 clay-court event in Rio in February, but he’s now 10-2 in his career in tour-level quarterfinals, with the only two losses coming at Grand Slams.
