World No. 51 Jan-Lennard Struff earned his second Top 10 win of the season, defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, in the Barcelona round of 16. At Indian Wells, he defeated world No. 3 Alexander Zverev, 6-3, 6-1, in the third round.

The heavy-hitting German imposed his will from the very beginning, not allowing Tsitsipas to gain control of the baseline rallies. Always a competitor, Tsitsipas bounced back to win the second set, but the Struff's power was far too great in the decider. Struff dominated the Greek’s second serve, winning 66 percent of points.

Struff will face off against the King of Clay, Rafael Nadal, in tomorrow’s quarterfinal.
