BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP)—Ryan Sweeting of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Christina McHale of Englewood Cliffs, N.J., have won a three-round tournament to earn berths in the French Open next month.

Sweeting, ranked 135th, beat Ryan Harrison in the men's final Thursday 6-4, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. McHale, ranked 166th, rallied to defeat Beatrice Capra for the women's berth 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The winners of the U.S. Tennis Association tournament receive wild cards into the French Open, which begins May 23. In return, two French players receive wild cards into the U.S. Open.

Sweeting and McHale will compete in the main draw at Roland Garros for the first time.
