Taylor Fritz defeats Alex de Minaur at Davis Cup Finals for 200th hard-court win of career

Taylor Fritz hit two big milestones last week, not only becoming the first American to reach the final of the ATP Finals since James Blake in 2006, but subsequently rising to a new career-high ranking of No. 4, which made him the first American man to be ranked in the Top 4 since Andy Roddick in 2007.

And today, he hits another two big milestones after a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Alex de Minaur during the United States’ quarterfinal tie against Australia at the Davis Cup Finals.

First of all, it's the 200th hard-court win of his career.

He’s the fourth man born in 1997 or later to reach that number, after Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev and Stefanos Tsitsipas, and the first American man born in 1990 or later to do it.
