Taylor Fritz has become the fifth player to qualify for this year's ATP Finals in Turin, joining Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev in the elite eight-player field.
Currently at No. 5 in the Race to the ATP Finals, Fritz—who's already through to the third round in Paris this week—secured his spot on Wednesday after Lorenzo Musetti, who's currently at No. 8 in the race standings, lost in the second round of the Masters 1000 event. With that result, the American can finish the race no lower than No. 8, guaranteeing his spot in Turin.
This will be his third career appearance at the event, having reached the semifinals in 2022 (falling to Djokovic) and the final in 2024 (falling to Sinner).
More to come...
