When Dominic Thiem won the 2020 US Open, it ended a six-year drought for a first-time major winner on the men’s tour.

As the tennis community eagerly awaits to see which ATP player will follow in the Austrian’s footsteps, Flushing Meadows remains the most likely venue for a breakthrough, having welcomed four maiden major champions over its past 12 tournaments— a period that has also gone without a successful title defense.
