Rosangel took this photo just a few weeks ago, not far from her house.  With views like this, it's only Mr. Nadal's assets that can tempt Rosia and her camera away from home, I bet.

We have another TW profile today!  Poster Ginger wrote in to introduce herself.  I should tell you all that Ginger was actually the first and only brave volunteer back in August when we first mentioned profiles, but with the madness of the U.S. Open, we postponed profiles for a while.  She's long overdue for a big drumroll and intro.

Ginger lives in North Carolina with her husband and two daughters, ages 16 and 12, who play tennis for fun (unlike their mom, who claims that she's too uncoordinated!).  She is originally from India and moved to the US 22 years ago.

The favorite players section: Ginger has been a tennis fan since the '70s and loved Chris, Connors and McEnroe.  The next generation brought her favorites Becker, Edberg, Steffi and Agassi.  She also loves Capriati, Seles, and Lindsay Davenport, and is thrilled to see Lindsay back and winning again.  After hating Hingis in 1997, Ginger loved her last year, but presumably is not so thrilled about her at the moment.  Current faves are most of the usual suspects, including Andy Roddick for starting his foundation so young.  But really, Ginger says she will watch any well played match, men's or women's (though hey, Ginger, you don't say anything about doubles -- not that you can see that on TV so often).

When it comes to hobbies, Ginger says:

I see we have a lot of nature and garden-lovers, what with our chieftain Pete's pond-digging ways and jbradhunter's half-dead azaleas.  James Herriot is the author of the All Creatures Great and Small series, which make Yorkshire's natural beauty sound appealing even in the dead of a winter's night.

Welcome Ginger and go OT below, as always!
