The Tribe that plays together stays together!  Thanks, GV Girl, for sending in these great photos of the gang getting together for the Federer-Sampras NetJets All-Star GOAT #1 Showdown, or whatever the heck it was called. I'll let this be a wonderful guessing game, for the excellent reason that I am only positive of the identity of one of these lovely people.  I could make guesses at the others, but I'll let it start in the comments first.

Anyone else notice that these look like very subtle liquor ads?  Or tennis tournament ads, I suppose.  The one on the far right could be a Stella Artois Queen's Club ad.  The one on the near right could advertise a new Irish tournament sponsored by Guinness.  Or it could just be that these people are sharing a drink with Mrs. Djokovic while she coyly hints at Novak switching allegiance...

In case you're not sick of streaming video on your computers, I found an absolute gem to share with you today from YouTube.  It's Hugh Laurie's song I'm in Love With Steffi Graf, from his old sketch comedy days with Stephen Fry in A Bit of Fry and Laurie.  (Laurie, in case you're scratching your head, is House, M.D.)  Fair warning for the very proper that there is a joke about the Seles stabbing -- but it was one of their most popular sketches.  Enjoy!

I've read that Laurie is a tennis fan himself and plays quite well.  I read his novel The Gun Seller a while back, and I seem to remember a joke about knowing which bedroom was a teenage girl's based on where the Stefan Edberg poster was.  Anyone here care to admit to which tennis star graced their room?  I didn't have one at all, actually, though my closet door was covered with gymnastics cutouts.
