Happy Friday, everyone. Lots going on . . .
Former TW regular jbradhunter was on the grounds in Cincinnati this week, covering the tournament for GVGirl’s website. You can view his posts by clicking here, here, here, and here. Great job, Brad, and I’m sorry I missed you! (Sorry I missed that Gilles run-in at Chick-fil-A, too. ;))
I’ve been asked by a few of you to do a roll call for the US Open . . . so who’s going? If you’ll be there and would like to meet up with your fellow posters, leave a comment or send me an e-mail with your plans. If there’s enough interest, I’ll chat with Pete and set up another one of usual middle weekend gatherings.
While we’re on the topic of the Open (and GVGirl, for that matter!), check out the following:
***Kourtin*****' *Karen's US Open Tips***
1) I'll be on US Open Party Patrol before and during the tournament. I'll be attending parties and events from Head's event with Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova to Arthur Ashe Kids' Day. You can follow me on Twitter (*@GVTennisNews*) or check out the *Tennis Panorama News*site. This weekend we have Brad reporting from Cincy, I'll be covering the New Haven Open, and we'll have friend of TPN Erik Gudris of the site Adjusting the Net covering the first few days of the Winston-Salem Open.
2) US Open Tailgate invite
When: Saturday, September 3, 10-11 AM
Where: Meet at the group of benches closest to the Unisphere for some coffee and tennis talk. In case of rain, meet under the giant awning on the boardwalk approaching the USTABJKNTC.
RSVP in this thread, in the Tailgate Thread on TAT, or in the *"US Open Tailgate" discussion*.
Hope you can stop by to meet TWibers, TATers and tennis friends.
3) All US Open attendees, check out my US Open tips *here*.
Thanks, GVGirl!
