Because of all the traffic and the volume of posts these past few days, I am re-opening a new Locker Room for you all to engage in Off-Topic discussions. This is not a good time to be using our Roland Garros Crisis Center entries for general chit-chat or Instant Messaging, so wander on in here and set a spell if you just want to socialize and talk about weekend plans, whatever.
As I mentioned in the previous post, feel free to discuss tennis in general at the Crisis Center posts when the day's action at Roland Garros is over - most of the discussion will be related to Roland Garros anyway. You can talk tennis here too, of course. You'll probably want to, when you read the bottom of this post.
We're making a bit of a format change for the duration of Roland Garros, just to minimize confusion. The Locker Room and updates on the Suicide Pool will be your Off-Topic threads, while the RG Crisis Center posts will be the best place to talk tennis. Once I start posting from Paris, you'll have an CC every day, my daily posts (please stay on-topic in those), and posts updating the Tribe's fortunes in the Suicide Pool (Ptenisnet is going to take that over, as of tomorrow) and Andrew's Picks Game.
Because our "Search" box is presently disabled, and we'll have a blizzard of posts going up next week, make sure you're familiar with the far right column at the top of the TW home page, or at the top of any post. You will see a list under the heading "Categories", which will link you to relevant posts (Click on "Roland Garros 2007" and you'll see a list of all the posts having to do with this edition of RG. Or, under "Guest Contributors" you'll find links to all the posts published here by contributors like Andrew). And below that (too)long list of categories, you'll find a tab for "Recent Posts." That usually displays the last eight or 10 entries we've posted, which should be all you need.
By this time tomorrow, I should be over the mid-Atlantic enroute to Paris, where I'm hoping to have dinner with Marie J. I really hate the night flights to Europe; it's the only time (including Australia trips) when I experience anything like Jet Lag. The day flights are a piece of cake and you hit the ground running early the next day.
